They set out to design a keyboard layout that mirrored natural Tamil writing. They named it (rainbow) for its colorful versatility, and Avvaiyar to honor the sage who believed in simplicity.

One day, a group of language engineers gathered under a banyan tree — virtually — and recalled the wisdom of the poet-saint Avvaiyar: “Whatever is learned with ease, stays in the heart.”

The layout grouped vowels, consonants, and grantha letters intuitively. Soon, students, poets, and government offices adopted it. A PDF manual of 736 pages was written — not to intimidate, but to empower. Each page taught a new character, a new word, a new story.
