This paper explores the concept through three lenses: (1) psychological 窶� ambiguous loss and unresolved grief, (2) sociocultural 窶� the impact of digital communication and ghosting, and (3) literary 窶� the romanticization of absence in Indonesian pop culture. The paper argues that "pacar yang hilang" represents more than a romantic breakup; it signifies a unique form of relational limbo where absence replaces closure, creating lasting emotional and behavioral consequences.
