But the soul of the movie is Marcus’s near-death experience. After a heart attack, he’s convinced he’s invincible because “God has a plan.” Lawrence plays this with hilarious, wide-eyed terror, while Smith’s Mike has to balance being a badass with being a reluctant nursemaid.

If you’ve got that 17GB file sitting on your drive, clear your evening, turn up the surround sound, and enjoy the last great pure-action franchise standing. Just don’t tell your ISP.
