As a follow-up to the popular Grammar Friends series from Oxford University Press, Grammar Friends 2 is designed for young learners (typically aged 7–9) who have moved beyond absolute basics and are tackling present continuous, ‘going to’ for future, prepositions of time, and irregular past simple verbs. But a series is only as good as its assessment tools. Having spent several weeks using the Grammar Friends 2 test resources (both the downloadable test packs and the revision units within the student book), here is my in-depth review.
