Every time Milo added a window or stretched a wall, the Man moved closer to the camera. His walk cycle was jerky, unnatural. On day five, Milo tried to delete him. He selected the Man and pressed the Delete key on his keyboard. Milo sprinted back to the office
His heart pounded. He selected the Push/Pull tool, that iconic blue arrow that extrudes 2D shapes into 3D volumes. He clicked the square and dragged it up. And the Man in the Red Shirt was no longer in the model
Milo’s cursor flickered. The software was still responsive. In a panic, he grabbed the USB drive. He didn't save. He didn't close. He just pulled the drive out.
Over the next week, Milo became a god of forgotten architecture. He stopped patrolling. He sat in the security office, version 8.0.4811 humming on his ancient laptop, and he built.
