I currently have the whole body as one group. Should I explode it and make the left/right/front/roof individual components to mirror details? Or will that break the watertight mesh for 3D printing? Building a digital Fiat Ducato van for a conversion layout

When I use a Follow Me curve, I get pinched geometry (non-planar faces). Is there a way to loft between the windshield header and the flat roof?
