She didn’t answer. She watched the image finish loading. The eye blinked.

Not a human eye. The pupil was a perfect, inky void, and the iris was the color of an old bruise. It was looking at the camera. Looking at her. Fear-1996-

She screamed. A small, choked sound she swallowed immediately. She slammed the power strip button with her bare foot. The computer died. The room fell into true darkness, lit only by the red numbers of the VCR clock: 3:13 AM. She didn’t answer
